Zyx RS-10

The Zyx RS-10 is a Japanese built MC cartridge in the audiophile class. Its low 0.24 mV output requires a dedicated MC phono input or a step up transformer. The elliptical stylus tracks from 1.5 to 2.0 g with 1.8 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond goes out for retipping.

Additional Info

The Zyx RS-10 is refined and articulate, with a natural, unforced midrange that lets vocals breathe without spotlighting them. Its ALMg5 tube cantilever delivers crisp, well-controlled transients, so detail emerges cleanly without turning hard, and the soundstage stays coherent rather than exaggerated. Tidy rather than weighty bass favors acoustic, jazz and vocal material. The stylus is integrated, so only a retip cures wear.
