Technics P153S

The Technics P153S was made by the Japanese brand as an entry level MM cartridge. The design works into a standard MM phono input and carries a conical stylus. Vocals come through natural and unforced while imaging stays reasonably precise without turning analytical, and noisy or worn pressings get smoothed over rather than dissected. Casual sessions with less-than-pristine records fit it perfectly. The conical stylus is replaceable, which keeps this Technics in service cheaply.
