Technics P153S
The Technics P153S was made by the Japanese brand as an entry level MM cartridge. The design works into a standard MM phono input and carries a conical stylus. Rated tracking force runs from 1.0 to 1.5 g by specification. The replaceable stylus is the EPS-153CS, and Phono Culture lists 3 compatible replacement styli.

The Technics P153S, also known as the EPC-P153S, leans toward a forgiving, easy-listening character. Vocals come through natural and unforced while imaging stays reasonably precise without turning analytical, and noisy or worn pressings get smoothed over rather than dissected. Casual sessions with less-than-pristine records fit it perfectly. The conical stylus is replaceable, which keeps this Technics in service cheaply.
