Sumiko LMS
The Sumiko LMS is an MM cartridge with an elliptical stylus profile and a 4 mV output level, so it mates with any standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force runs from 0.75 to 1.5 g with a nominal setting of 1.0 g. Its replaceable stylus carries the LMS designation, and the Phono Culture database lists three compatible replacement styli for this model.
The Sumiko LMS pairs an alloy cantilever with an elliptical tip for a warm, forgiving presentation and a naturally smooth midrange that flatters vocals and softens rougher pressings. Imaging stays precise and the soundstage well-organized, while transient bite keeps gentle rather than razor-sharp. Long relaxed sessions with jazz, vocal and classic rock suit it well. The stylus is user-replaceable when worn.
