Stanton L747S
The Stanton L747S belongs to the maker's line with a Line Contact stylus cut. Its 1.2 mV output runs unusually low for MM, so the phono stage needs gain in reserve. The light 0.75 to 1.5 g tracking force is gentle on records. The replaceable stylus is the D74S, and Phono Culture lists 3 compatible replacement styli.

It favors a smooth, natural vocal presentation with solid detail retrieval and stable imaging, while bass stays controlled rather than punchy. Worn pressings and relaxed long sessions suit its forgiving nature well. The stylus is user-replaceable, sold as the D74S.
