Stanton 890SA
The Stanton 890SA was built for hard daily duty in studios and clubs. This MM cartridge pairs a conical stylus with a 6.5 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Tracking force is allowed from 2.0 to 5.0 g with 3.0 g nominal. The replaceable stylus is the D8900SA, and Phono Culture lists 3 compatible replacement styli.
The Stanton 890SA is a forgiving DJ workhorse. Its spherical 0.7 mil stylus and 4-coil design keep hum and surface noise low, delivering warm, dense bass with punchy, confident dynamics, while vocals stay natural. The modest stage and average channel separation favor steady groove-riding over pinpoint imaging, and high output suits simple phono stages. The D8900SA stylus is replaceable, keeping upkeep easy.
