Shure M35X
The Shure M35X was made for DJ duty and confident heavy tracking. This MM cartridge pairs a conical stylus with a 6 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Tracking force is allowed from 1.5 to 3.0 g with 3.0 g nominal. The replaceable stylus is the N35X, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.
The Shure M35X is a forgiving, punchy MM built for hands-on use rather than critical listening. Its low-mass aluminum Type I cantilever and conical stylus keep vocals natural and transients quick, while rock-solid tracking stability shrugs off scratching, pitch-bending and heavy vibration. Fine detail and pinpoint imaging yield to sheer drive and durability for DJ decks. The N35X stylus is replaceable and also fits some M44GX bodies, though Shure quotes a different tracking force.
