Pickering XSP 3003

The Pickering XSP 3003 belongs to the American line with a Line Contact stylus cut. Its 5 mV output suits any standard MM phono input. The light 0.75 to 1.25 g tracking force with 1.0 g nominal is gentle on records. The replaceable stylus is the D3000, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.

The Pickering XSP 3003 is the T4P plug-in sibling of the XSV-3000 and shares its D3000 stylus. Presentation leans forgiving and naturally balanced, with warm lifelike vocals, coherent imaging and a Line Contact tip that keeps detail respectable while smoothing rough pressings. Bass carries decent body without dominating the mix across varied genres. The stylus is replaceable when worn, so upkeep stays simple.
