The Pickering 625DJ was made for booth duty and forgives rough handling. The IM generator delivers 2.8 mV into any standard MM phono input. Its elliptical stylus accepts tracking force from 1.0 to 4.0 g. The replaceable stylus is the D-DJ, and Phono Culture lists 3 compatible replacement styli.

The Pickering 625DJ favors natural, relaxed vocals and a steady, tolerant tracking manner over pinpoint micro-detail. Solid bass and serviceable imaging make it kind to worn grooves, radio duty and hip-hop or funk digging on rugged setups. This DJ variant of the XV-15 and 625 family ships without the Dustamatic brush. The elliptical stylus is replaceable, with cross-references to some Stanton 680 and 681 DJ tips.
