Ortofon Concorde 20
The Ortofon Concorde 20 is a moving magnet cartridge of upper mid-range class, and its 4 mV output feeds any standard MM phono input without extra gain. Its nude elliptical diamond sits on a user replaceable insert named Stylus 20, which keeps long term ownership simple. Rated tracking force runs from 1.25 to 1.75 g with 1.5 g nominal. Phono Culture lists three compatible replacement styli for this model.
The Ortofon Concorde 20 leans into an easygoing, forgiving presentation that still delivers real resolution. Its nude elliptical tip pulls out natural, believable vocals and a wide, stable soundscape without turning bright on lesser pressings. Bass stays reasonably firm so rhythm sections feel grounded, while dynamics push rock and pop along without harshness. The stylus is replaceable, so wear never retires the whole cartridge.
