NEAT VERTEX V-70
The NEAT VERTEX V-70 carries the spirit of the early Japanese cartridge school. This MM design pairs a conical stylus with a 5 mV output for any standard MM phono input. Tracking force is allowed from 2.0 to 4.0 g, as was common for period tonearms. The replaceable stylus is the DS-70, and Phono Culture lists 2 compatible replacement styli.

The NEAT VERTEX V-70, also sold as the NEAT V70, is a warm, forgiving MM built around a conical tip that prioritizes ease of tracking over microscopic detail retrieval. Vocals come through natural and full-bodied, bass keeps body without turning overblown, and dynamics feel lively rather than clinical. Older or less-than-perfect pressings with rock, pop and jazz suit it fine. The stylus is replaceable, so wear stays trivial.
