[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup

Empire 67E/III

The Empire 67E/III belongs to the American MM lineup at the entry level. The design with its elliptical stylus works into a standard MM phono input. A light 0.5 to 1.5 g tracking force keeps record wear low. The replaceable stylus is the S913E, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement.

Additional Info

The Empire 67E/III offers a forgiving, easygoing presentation where vocals come through natural and unstrained. Dynamics stay lively without edge on less-than-perfect pressings, bass anchors the sound without dominating, and imaging holds solid rather than pinpoint. Rock, jazz and older records on modest tables fit it well. The stylus is replaceable, with the OEM S913E also known as the S66PE/X and sold as the 239-PDE type.
