[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup
Empire 205 LT
The Empire 205 LT belongs to the American MM lineup with an elliptical stylus. Its 4.5 mV output suits any standard MM phono input. Rated tracking force runs from 1.5 to 2.5 g with 2.0 g nominal. The replaceable stylus is the S205, and Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement for this model.
The Empire 205 LT is a forgiving, easygoing MM built on a tapered aluminum-alloy cantilever with an elliptical tip. It leans toward warm, natural vocals and lively dynamics rather than razor-sharp detail, giving full-bodied bass and a relaxed, homelike delivery instead of pinpoint imaging. Worn or imperfect records get treated kindly, suiting vintage jazz, rock and easy listening on modest systems. The stylus is replaceable, so a worn tip swaps out without retipping.
