Denon DL-110

The Denon DL-110 is a high output MC cartridge in the upper mid range of the catalogue. Its 1.6 mV output feeds a standard MM phono input without a step up transformer. The elliptical stylus tracks from 1.5 to 2.1 g with a 1.8 g nominal setting. The factory stylus carries the DL-110 Stylus designation, and a worn tip calls for retipping.

Additional Info

The Denon DL-110 is a warm, forgiving MC with a natural, breathy midrange that flatters vocals and acoustic material. Detail retrieval stays solid without turning clinical, and imaging holds coherent rather than pinpoint-etched, which favors long relaxed sessions on modest to mid-tier systems. The aluminum cantilever keeps the elliptical tip lively on rock and jazz alike, trading ultimate resolution for easygoing musical balance.
