[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup
Benz-Micro Ebony H
The Benz-Micro Ebony H comes from the Swiss workshop at the high end. Its healthy 2.5 mV output works into a standard MM phono input without extra gain. The Line Contact stylus tracks from 1.8 to 2.2 g with 2.0 g nominal. The stylus is integrated, so a worn diamond calls for retipping.
The Benz-Micro Ebony H defines surgical detail and taut groove control, throwing a wide, sharply focused soundstage with dense, well-anchored bass and a natural, uncolored vocal presentation. Revealing systems and well-aligned arms bring out its best on acoustic jazz, classical and intimate vocal recordings, while poor setup gets little mercy. Built as a high-output MC with a solid boron cantilever in an ebony body, its Line Contact stylus is integrated, so only retipping is possible once worn.
