[Test Note] Check Empire 2000E/III on my setup
ADC P30 BD
The ADC P30 BD uses an induced magnet MI motor and sits in the entry level segment of the brand catalogue. Its 5.5 mV output feeds a standard MM phono input without any extra step up device. The conical stylus assembly carries the designation RP30 and the owner can swap it at home. Phono Culture lists one compatible replacement stylus, with tracking force rated from 1.0 to 2.0 grams.
The ADC P30 BD leans toward a relaxed, non-fatiguing presentation rather than analytical precision. Vocals come through with natural warmth, while dynamics and bass stay modest and gentle without much slam. Casual long sessions and softer genres on unfussy systems suit it well. The conical stylus is replaceable, so a fresh tip brings it back to form as it wears.
